Noticeboard

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  From 1pm on Thursday 13th April, we will not have access to our IT system due to essential maintenance work.  We will therefore be unable to assist with any routine enquiries including prescriptions, appointments, results etc during this time.  We expect that the system will be back up and available at 10am on Tuesday 18th April (after the bank holiday).  We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation during this time.  Please note that due to this work, we will NOT be open on Saturday 15th April.

TRAINING PRACTICE:  The Practice was recently awarded training status which means that we will host a qualified doctor who is completing their training by gaining experience in different areas of medicine over a 2 year period.  One of these elements is working in General Practice.  We have recently been joined in this capacity by Dr Dickinson who will be working here for 4 months under the supervision of Dr Thava and Dr Singh who she may refer to during her consultation.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask a member of the team.

PATIENT NOTICE

From 1st April 2017, the patients of Dr Kumar & Partners (the Ground Floor Practice) will be looked after by Dr Mittal & Partners.  This is due to the imminent retirement of the last of the Partners at that surgery.

From this date, we will be merging the teams to provide all of the care for 15,000 patients at Milman Road Health Centre.  This will have very little impact on the current patients of Dr Mittal & Partners – you will continue to call the same number for appointments.  The only difference you will notice is that on occasions you may be seen in a consulting room on the ground floor - the reception team will let you know where your appointment is when you make your booking.

This change means that there will now be 8 GPs, a Prescribing Nurse Practitioner (who can help with minor illnesses and ailments), 2 Practice Nurses and 2 HCAs on site for appointments throughout the week.  GP appointments will also continue to be available every Saturday morning.

We will also continue to offer an onsite physiotherapist, counselling services, Citizens Advice Bureau, an ultrasound clinic and a midwife from the Health Centre.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any member of the team, who will be happy to help you.
