Practice
Nurses
Our Practice Nurses offer health
checks to new patients and the
elderly. They deal with blood tests,
cervical smears, wound dressings and
some removal of stitches; ear
syringing; immunisations including
travel vaccines and contraception
advice. The nurses organise and run
specialist clinics like Asthma,
Diabetes, Hypertension and smoking
cessation.
HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS ATTACHED
TO THE PRACTICE
Midwives
Provide antenatal and postnatal
care, both Practice based and in the
home, antenatal clinics and
parent-craft sessions.
District Nurses
Based at the Practice to provide
healthcare to patients in their own
homes. They are knowledgeable about
local and national services support
and can assist carers.
